Lazy Days & YSP

Ever had one of them weekends where your not sure what to do because your saving for something big, end up watching sports channels with the boy on the Saturday, then a 'Sex in the City' marathon on the Sunday and before you know it your weekend is over?? Please say yes as I already feel such a lazy sloth. We won't talk about the food I consumed otherwise I will be hiding under my duvet for the next month!!

Thank god I had bank holiday Monday to get motivated...

Alarm clocks set, my new first walking backpack at the ready (a tad excited) and bags of motivation for the day ahead. My inner 5 year old self was quite excited as with the past 2 days worth of non-stop rain, mud & puddles were defiently going to be on the agenda :)

An hours drive away and we arrived at 'Yorkshire Sculpture Park', an outdoor museum over 500 acres of parkland, hidden walk ways, stepping stones, & not to forget the odd sculpture here and there!

Note my new backpack - its floral tapestry pattern - obsessed with flowers!!

Stepping Stones
After being told about YSP I used my all time favourite research tool of 'Instagram'. I found some pretty amazing photos of some of the sculptures on display so I had a couple on my list that I really wanted to find before we left.

We laugh about it now but after nearly 4 hours of walking & a picnic later we headed back to the main entrance and asked for help as I still hadnt seen the one sculpture that I had my heart set on - The Rocking Horse. The funniest part about it is that the 'Rocking Horse' was opposite where we sat and ate lunch.

The Rocking Horse
As you can see I'm now all smiles :)

Have you been to YSP?
What was your favourite sculpture?

Also I'd love to hear where you go walking as were always on the look out for new places?
